We're glad you're here to explore cool jazz with us!  To us, cool jazz means primarily instrumental, melodic, hip, jazz music with emotional impact.  This style is also known as "west coast style" jazz, or "cool school".  We're not into strict be-bop, or "smooth jazz".  This page discusses the history of cool jazz and what it means to us.
